We went to the dr. a couple weeks ago for Brynn's 2 year check up. When I filled out the developmental questionnaire she is only failing in one category now! Yeah!!! She is still really behind with communication but we are still working with kids on the move and sometimes she has great success and then other times we get nothing out of her. But at least she is getting some help and she has so much fun when Alex comes to play. Here are her stats from the check up
Weight - 22.49 lbs 16.62 %
Length - 33.5 in 34.06%
Head - 18 in 14.73%
I love to see how they are growing. She hasn't gained much weight but she is taller than she usually is when we measure her. Hopefully she is getting taller and the nurse didn't measure her wrong!

Silly Brynn
Brynn is really the character around the house. She is fun and happy but she can also be kind of mean. And you can tell she's the youngest because everyone caters to her. But we sure do love her still the same!
I was finally able to get some cute pony tails done on her. I wish she had more hair but it is coming in slowly. It will be fun to do once she gets more but for now at least I can pull it into a pony tail or too. I need to get a picture of her hair when it's not done. It literally stands straight up. It actually makes her look really scary. But here she is with her cute pony's!

She is really a picky eater too. I remember the other kids being picky eaters but she is by far the worst. Most days she doesn't eat but when she will eat it's kind of a challenge finding what she will like. This is one of her most typical lunches. And notice it is all orange.

Dentist
October 7th 2013
I took the kids for their cleaning and check up and there were no cavities! Well technically Makenna has one that was starting but they said to just make sure we floss it and it is on a baby tooth and they weren't going to do anything about it. So I'll count that as no cavity since we don't have to get anything filled! We even had Brynn checked out but she wasn't as cooperative as the other two! :) The dentist was concerned with something in her mouth though. Its the little piece of gum that attaches her lip to her gums. Anyways it comes all the way down between her front two teeth and are spreading them apart. He suggested that we get it lazered so we have that appointment set up for February. Not fun but I would rather get it fixed now then when she is older. But look how good Kason and Makenna were for the dentist! They are awesome!!!

Labor Day Movie
September 2nd, 2013
For Labor Day we were lucky to have Weston in town! He did have to leave that afternoon to head back but at least we got to spend Sunday and most of Monday with him. We ended up going to a movie with all the Southwick that morning so that was lots of fun. The kids always like to hang out with Cam and Savannah and their cousins. We went and saw Turbo and it was really cute. Here are a couple pictures I tried to take in the theatre.

Family Pictures
August 31st 2013
Okay so this post is really out of order since we actually had the pictures done in August! Oh well, at least I'm getting them up. And I don't know how I forgot to blog them! But we had Weston's cousin Dayna take some new family photos for us so we could put them on a Christmas card and all I can say are they are amazing! She did such a great job and I just love them! So here's a few of them! :)
Makenna's our little model and Brynn was impossible to get a good shot of! But they turned out so cute anyways!

Mascot Bowl

Every year the Lehi 8th grade football teams get together and play a scrimmage game against a bunch of different mascots. They have Cosmo from BYU, the Lion from REAL Salt Lake, the wolverine from UVSC, the Jazz Bear and a bunch of other mascots from all around the state and even different states. We went last year and the kids had a ton of fun so we wanted to go again this year but Weston was out of town and I didn't think I could take the three kids all by myself. But then I found out that Gavin's football team was playing in the fourth quarter. So we met up with Cammy and all of them to watch the game. My mom even came half way through and it was a lot of fun. The kids loved it and I think they had more fun this year because they got to hang out with their cousins. The pictures aren't great but of course I just have to document that we were there!
Fun night can't wait tell next year!

State Fair
September 13th 2013
After Weston and I got married he took me up to the State Fair. It was the first time that I had ever been and we wanted to make it a tradition and go every year. Well, we haven't really made it every year since but this year we did. The kids loved it and had so much fun! We grabbed McDonalds on the way up (which was the kids pick not ours) and then Makenna and Kason really wanted to ride the horses. Then all of us did the big yellow slide and of course we walked through and saw all the animals too! It was lots of fun and I'm really glad we made it up there this year!
As you can see by those big goofy faces I think the night was a success. I'm so glad they had a fun time!

Neptune Park

One night Amy and I packed the kids up a picnic for dinner and we headed out to Neptune Park. It is out in Saratoga Springs and it was a fun park. They have so many different kinds of toys out there and the kids had tons of fun. They just can't wait to go back!

Hogle Zoo!
August 17th 2013
We made our annual trip to the zoo and the kids had so much fun! They loved the elephants, monkeys, giraffes, and the polar bear. I thought the polar bear was the greatest. He kept doing flips in the water and it was fun to watch him. Makenna's least favorite were the snakes! It was funny to see her run from the exhibits when she saw them! Here are some pictures of the fun day!

Kason loved seeing this big turtle. Afterwards he kept asking if he could get a pet turtle. I looked into them but they are aren't good pets for kids.

They apparently had cool lego displays through out the zoo but most of them had been removed because the heat was ruining them. But the did have these set up for the kids to come and play with. The kids had lots of fun building with the big blocks.
