Kason's 1st Soccer Game!

September 7th, 2013

We signed Kason up for soccer this year and he was really excited that it was his turn to go and do something.  That poor kid has been to way to many dance recitals, classes, performances and competitions and it was finally his turn to do something.  So we signed him up through Utah County Soccer and his team is the Gators.  They are so cute running around out there.  Here he is at his first game!  He doesn't quite get it yet but it is just fun seeing him out there playing around.

1st Day of Joy School

September 5th 2013

Kason is doing a Joy School here in the neighborhood with a bunch of other kids and was so excited for it to start.  Here he is on his first day!  He's getting so big!

On the days that Kason has school, he has to have a school lunch just like Makenna.  Here he is with his.  He just loves it!  I promise he did have a sandwich in there and his banana is barely in the pic.  So there is some healthy food in there! :)

Neptune Park

August 28th, 2013

One night Amy and I packed the kids up a picnic for dinner and we headed out to Neptune Park.  It is out in Saratoga Springs and it was a fun park.  They have so many different kinds of toys out there and the kids had tons of fun.  They just can't wait to go back!

Brynn had fun in this car that bounced forwards and back!

These were some cool spinning seats

Kason hung on for dear life!

This was kind of like a tetter totter but with swing seats.  It went up and down though and was lots of fun.

This is Makenna the monkey climbing up the rope pyramid

She made it all the way to the top!  It was really cool.

Outside Movie

August 23, 2013

A couple years ago my parents started the tradition of projecting a movie outside for everyone to watch.  We eat lots of candy and just have fun.  This year didn't go quite as planned because it was a cold and rainy day.  But we didn't let that ruin our fun and we just moved it in to the garage.  The kids still thought it was the greatest and had so much fun.  Here we are watching the movie Epic at Grandma and Grandpa Powell's house.  (picture quality is horrible but at least it shows us there and having fun!)

1st Day of 1st Grade

August 20th 2013

Makenna was so excited for 1st grade!  All day school and school lunch!  She has Mrs. Denney and is out in the trailers this year.  Look at how adorable she is!  She just had to have that messenger bag from Team Beach Movie and of course her school clothes say dance all over them!  You just gotta love this girl!

Check out all that excitement!

Sleep Over

One weekend in July Weston had gotten out the blow up mattress and slept downstairs because I had the flu.  The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever so the next night Weston put the mattress up to the girls room and let them all have a sleep over.  But the didn't let poor Brynn join.  She had to sleep in her crib.  :(  At least she still got to be in the same room and have some fun.  And they did have fun.  I honestly didn't think the kids were going to ever fall asleep but they finally did.  Look at how cute they are!  (once they fell asleep that is!)

Makenna's Selfies

I got on the computer the other day to upload our pictures and I about died from laughter at what I saw.  Apparently, Wes told Makenna she could take some pictures.  This is what I found.

She is totally in love with her new bag for school.  It has Brady and Mac on it from Teen Beach Movie

And now for the awesome selfies!

Love this one!

Roar!!!

You just gotta love this crazy girl!

Hogle Zoo!

August 17th 2013

We made our annual trip to the zoo and the kids had so much fun!  They loved the elephants, monkeys, giraffes, and the polar bear.  I thought the polar bear was the greatest.  He kept doing flips in the water and it was fun to watch him.  Makenna's least favorite were the snakes!  It was funny to see her run from the exhibits when she saw them!  Here are some pictures of the fun day!

 The elephants

Look how cute the baby elephant is!

Brynn loved seeing all the animals

Here are our little monkeys who escaped from their cage!!!

Perfect photo op.  Everytime they kids saw one they had to go stand by it and get their picture taken!

This polar bear was so much fun to watch.  He just would do flip after flip after flip.

The giraffes were always my favorite growing up.

Notice our Miss Vanna White!

Kason loved seeing this big turtle.  Afterwards he kept asking if he could get a pet turtle.  I looked into them but they are aren't good pets for kids.

Brynn just playing in the water!

They apparently had cool lego displays through out the zoo but most of them had been removed because the heat was ruining them.  But the did have these set up for the kids to come and play with.  The kids had lots of fun building with the big blocks.

Brynn's first ponytail!

Isn't she adorable!  I'm not for sure how she likes it.  She loves getting her hair done but she actually prefers headbands.  If she finds one anywhere she puts it right on her head.  I've got her trained good!

Isn't she such doll!  I just love her!  She's my girly girl with bracelets, necklaces, crowns and headbands.  I just love it!  Plus she gives the best loves and kisses in the world!  Love her!

Candy Necklaces

August 2013

I wanted to do one more fun night before the kids started school so I thought it would be fun to make these candy necklaces!  I also ran to redbox and picked up a movie.  Makenna had been dying to see the new American Girl movie Saige so I grabbed that one.  The night was fun and lets just say that Kason had more fun making the candy necklaces and Makenna had more fun watching the show.  So I'll take that as a successful night!  Brynn did enjoy eating all the treats too!

These were all our goodies that I got to string on a necklace

She looks like she's really concentrating hard!

Kason did a really good job stringing on the candy

This one is Makenna's.  She made a perfect pattern!

This is the only shot I got of Kason's before he chowed down on it!

Makenna's finished project!

I think they had lots of fun and surprisingly they handled all the sugar very well.  They even went to bed that night!

18 Months Old

August 16th 2013

Brynn is now 18 months old!  I can't believe how she is just growing right up!  I'm excited to see her do things but at the same time it makes me so sad.  So here are a couple pictures I got of her being silly!

So now that she is 18 months that means nursery!  :( So Sunday she went to nursery all by herself and I just couldn't handle it.  She did amazing and by her 3rd week there and didn't even need me.  I on the other hand didn't do so great.  I sat outside her door through Sunday School waiting for her to start to cry.  And then when she didn't I decided I needed to go to Relief Society.  The whole time during class I was just worried about her.  I ended up leaving with 15 minutes left so I could go check on her.  Neither of our other kids did that great.  So I am glad that she's so awesome but I don't like that she is so getting and acting so big!

We took her to the doctor for her shots and here are her stats from her check up (technically 18 1/2 months)

Weight  - 20.5 lbs  19.39%
Length  - 30.25 in    6.95%
Head     - 17.5 in      8.81%

She really is the smallest little thing.  For us that is!  :)

On her evaluation she is still behind compared to kids her age.  She is doing well with her fine motor, problem solving and personal-social skills.  And even though she has started walking she is still learning so that gave her lower scores on gross motor.  And then her communication is very low.  Which we already know because we are working with Kids on the Move for it.  So I'm hoping with some continued help she will just progress amazingly!  She really did with her walking so I know she can do it with her speech too!

Brynn is the sweetest most lovey, cuddly thing in the world and we sure do love her tons!
