Date Night Out West

I'm not even sure when we did this but I came across the pictures so I thought I would put them up.  After we went shooting that last time for a date night I actually had my dad look for a gun for us.  He is always buying and selling guns so I figured he would know what he was doing.  So he found us a XDM 40 and I surprised Weston with it.  He was so excited and we couldn't wait to go out and shoot it so we went out west one weekend for a date night of shooting!  It was so much fun to go out just the two of us.  We took some of my dads targets and I borrowed my dads extra 9mm.  It was fun and I think Weston really liked his new toy!  Now we are all ready to head down to Front Sight this fall!

National Slurpee Day!

July 7th 2013

On national Slurpee day 7-11 gives away free Slurpee's.  I had never gone before to get one but I thought it would be a fun outing for me and the kids.  So after we picked Makenna up from dance we headed over to our nearest 7-11!  When we got there the line wrapped around inside the store, out the door, and down to the end of the building.  It was a long line and it started to rain.  But we went on over, jumped into line and once we were under the covering of the building it wasn't so bad.  Well, minus the annoying 12 year old boys that were standing behind us.  Why and how do these immature kids think its okay or even cool to sit there and swear (the f and g word) every other word in front of children?  It was horrible!  But I just put the kids as far away from them that I could and I talked and entertained them so they didn't pick up on the horrible kids behind us.  It seemed to work because they didn't notice, nor have they repeated anything since.  So once we got inside I grabbed me a diet coke and then three Slurpee's.  It was hectic but we made it in and out of the store in 30 minutes.  Not to bad!  So here are the kids enjoying their free Slurpee's!

4th of July Celebrations

July 4th 2013

For the 4th of July we had a few family get together's that kept us busy all day.  We started out having brunch at my parents house.  My dad made his delicious dutch oven breakfast.  It was amazing!!!  Then the kids had tons of fun playing with water balloons.  They tossed them back and forth in towels, they threw them at each other on the trampoline and Brynn just had fun squeezing them tell they popped.  It was lots of fun.

The next family get together was the annual pool party out in Magna.  So we headed up there for lunch and swimming.  Brynn surprised us all by actually getting into the water!  She had hated it the previous times we took her swimming so I was glad that she enjoyed it.  We spent a couple hours up there swimming and then we headed back home.

After dinner we did a few fireworks.  The sparklers were fun but Brynn really didn't like the fireworks.  They were really loud and scary.  So we did a few and then I just went and put her down to bed.  Once she was in the house Weston did the rest of the fireworks and it was lots of fun.  The kids loved them!  Then I stayed at home with Brynn while Weston, Makenna and Kason headed up to Rus and Kristy's where we usually watch the fire works.  Here are some pics of the kids.  Apparently the flash on the camera was too bright!  But they had so much fun.  They really enjoyed watching all the fireworks.

Then as luck would have it they hadn't even been home an hour and Makenna came into our room complaining about her stomach hurting.  She was then up all night with the flu.  Brynn started throwing up by the morning and Kason followed a few days later.  So much fun!  That was followed by colds and then the flu again 3 weeks later!  That time I was lucky enough to get it.  Now we are on another cold and lets keep our fingers crossed we don't get the flu again tell next year! Ugh.  I hate being sick and I hate sick kids.  Oh well, that's life.

We had a fun 4th of July and I'm glad we all got to enjoy it!

Round Up Week

June 27th-29th 2013

The annual Round-up Week was the last week in June.  We always have so much fun going and attending everything.  We didn't do the picnic in park on Monday night because it was raining.  But we did go eat the BBQ dinner on Wednesday night.  They had big blow up slides and bouncy houses that were fun for the kids to play on.  Although it wasn't much fun for me.  Kason wanted to do everything but then he would get scared and would need help so I would have to climb through or climb up the slides to get him down.  It became a big joke so I ended up dragging him crying away from the toys so I didn't have to play on anymore of them.   Lots of fun!  Then Thursday, Friday and Saturday were packed full of parades and rodeos.   The kids had so much fun they could hardly handle it all.  I'm always so excited for round-up week but I'm also glad to see it go.  It's always crazy busy and I need a vacation afterwards!  But here are some fun pics from the week.

Camping Trip

June 21st-23rd 2013

We did our annual camping trip with the Powell's this year and it was so much fun!  We went camping up Hobble Creek Canyon and it was a really nice spot. We roasted marshmallows, made s'mores, went on hikes, rode the razor, (and of course Ryan had to roll it!) found a geo cache, threw rocks in the river and we only had one person fall in!  It was one of the best camping trips yet!

Brynn swinging in her swing!

This is actually Makenna's new camping chair but Brynn was having so much fun sitting in it!  Isn't she adorable!!!

Don't we just look gorgeous!  Well, Brynn actually does.  Me on the other hand...  I could use a shower and some make-up!

Princess Festival

June 20th 2013

Thanksgiving Point holds a Princess Festival every year and this year we were lucky enough to go.  We went with Shellie, Becca and Maddi.  Makenna was so excited and loved every minute of it.  Kason on the other hand was there for the ride.  I feel so bad he gets dragged to all these girly things but he is such a good sport.

When we got there they first met Arial.  She was sitting by the ark right at the beginning of the children's gardens.  Then we ran into Alice in Wonderland and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle dum.  They were having a tea party with the Mad Hatter.  They were really cute.  Then they went on and saw, Belle, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan.  They event helped Peter Pan on a quest to get some medicine for Tinkerbell who was sick.  They got all the princess' to sign their books and then they played duck, duck, goose with some princess'.  It was a fun day and Makenna didn't want to leave.  Thanks Shellie for treating us to a fun day out!

Maddi, Becca, Prince Charming, Cinderella, Makenna, Brynn and Kason.  Not the best picture quality but I pretty much take what I get these days.  I'm not picky.

Kason got a glitter tattoo and Makenna got her face painted.  She has always wanted her face painted so she was so excited!!!

Fathers Day 2013

June 16th 2013

Weston is the favorite person around our house.  I love spending my nights with him and the kids love spending as much time with him as they can.  Weston actually calls Brynn his little puppy dog because she will just follow right behind him where ever he goes.  Up and down the stairs and from room to room.  It is seriously the cutest thing ever.  So needless to say we sure love him and are so grateful for him.  He is such a hard worker providing for us and he would do anything for those cute little kiddos.  He is the best husband and dad around!

Brynn loves for dad to hold her.  She loves to sit on his lap and help him eat his food.  She loves to give kisses and snuggles.

Kason loves playing games with dad.  He loves to be outside and to help him mow the lawn.  He loves to get out his tools and help dad fix things.

Makenna loves to go get treats with dad from the gas station.  She loves to sit next to him on the couch.  And she loves it when he will help her with her back bends and handstands.

We are one lucky family to have such an amazing example to look up to.  Thanks for all you do!  Love you!

Wow!

So much for getting the blog caught up.  I don't even know what my excuse is!  Summer?  Sick kids?  Being a single mom again?  Sick kids?  Did I mention sick kids?  All we ever do around our house is throw up or have runny noses.  Just the joy's of raising cute little kiddos!  So now I'm back to the blog and I can't wait to get up all our cute pictures!
