4th of July Celebrations

July 4th 2013

For the 4th of July we had a few family get together's that kept us busy all day.  We started out having brunch at my parents house.  My dad made his delicious dutch oven breakfast.  It was amazing!!!  Then the kids had tons of fun playing with water balloons.  They tossed them back and forth in towels, they threw them at each other on the trampoline and Brynn just had fun squeezing them tell they popped.  It was lots of fun.

The next family get together was the annual pool party out in Magna.  So we headed up there for lunch and swimming.  Brynn surprised us all by actually getting into the water!  She had hated it the previous times we took her swimming so I was glad that she enjoyed it.  We spent a couple hours up there swimming and then we headed back home.

After dinner we did a few fireworks.  The sparklers were fun but Brynn really didn't like the fireworks.  They were really loud and scary.  So we did a few and then I just went and put her down to bed.  Once she was in the house Weston did the rest of the fireworks and it was lots of fun.  The kids loved them!  Then I stayed at home with Brynn while Weston, Makenna and Kason headed up to Rus and Kristy's where we usually watch the fire works.  Here are some pics of the kids.  Apparently the flash on the camera was too bright!  But they had so much fun.  They really enjoyed watching all the fireworks.

Then as luck would have it they hadn't even been home an hour and Makenna came into our room complaining about her stomach hurting.  She was then up all night with the flu.  Brynn started throwing up by the morning and Kason followed a few days later.  So much fun!  That was followed by colds and then the flu again 3 weeks later!  That time I was lucky enough to get it.  Now we are on another cold and lets keep our fingers crossed we don't get the flu again tell next year! Ugh.  I hate being sick and I hate sick kids.  Oh well, that's life.

We had a fun 4th of July and I'm glad we all got to enjoy it!
