April 26th 2013
Thanksgiving Point has a tulip festival every year and we have never been. I've always wanted to go but we've just never gone. But this year a couple of the neighbors were going and we went too! It was so pretty and lots of fun. Makenna loved it because we went with her two friends Teos and Grace. Thanks to the Jacksons and Worsley's for organizing such a fun outing! I wasn't thinking and I didn't bring my camera. I did try and get some pictures of the kids while we were there. Of course getting three kids to look at the camera all at the same time proved to be pretty challenging. Oh well, at least it is proof that we were there!

Makenna's First Dance Competition
Saturday April 27th
Makenna had her first dance competition, Releve, back in April and they did awesome! She was so excited to go out on stage and she was even the one to count to go off the stage. Meaning after they danced she would yell "5,6,7,8" and that would give her team the cue to stand up and walk off. She was really nervous to do it at first but she did amazing and now she's not afraid to say it anymore. After the competition they did a master class with some boy dancer (as Makenna says) and then after that they did a dance off and then awards. She had lots of fun and her team even placed! They won the Pink Diamond award. They didn't have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place so I don't know how they placed. I do know that the White diamond was the highest award so they didn't place the highest and I know they didn't place the lowest but they did place somewhere in there. The girls where so excited to win a trophy and it was all Makenna could talk about. I'm glad they did well enough to get one! It was an awesome experience for her and she just wants to keep dancing and to keep getting trophies! So I told her to keep working hard and she will be awesome. Here are some pictures of her dancing. She is in the very middle.
Aren't they the cutest little dancers ever! I love their costume and I even love their hair. It was hard and frustrating to get that bow bun just right at first but after lots of practice I just love it!
Here are pictures of them at the awards afterwards with their trophy. They were so proud!
Thank you so much Shellie for coming and getting decent pics of her actually dancing! My camera can't do any of that! I think I really need to start saving up my money so I can get a nice camera to take nice pictures of her dancing!
Great job Makenna! We are so proud of out amazing dancer! <3

Discovery Gateway Childrens Museum
March 25th 2013
We went up to the Discovery Gateway Museum with Shellie and it was so much fun. It was our first time ever going there and the kids had a blast! The loved feeding the balls threw the tubs and the loved role playing. Kason played with the construction stuff and Makenna loved playing in the grocery store and delivering mail. It was a very fun afternoon and we can't wait to go again sometime!

Going for a ride in the life flight helicopter
Riding the horse!
Playing in the water. The next best thing to playing with the balls for Kason!
Makenna's favorite thing. Playing with the cash register!
Just chillin in a recliner in a play house
Reading books in a book nook
Sailing in a boat
Brynn and I hanging out.
Thanks for hanging out for the day Shellie! It was so much fun!

Easter 2013
March 31st 2013
The best thing about Easter is getting a new Easter outfit to wear to church. Weston doesn't totally understand this but I finally convinced him that they needed something new. Plus I was able to get coordinated outfits so I just had to get them! :) And seriously, they are just the cutest kids ever!

The Easter Bunny made it to our house this year and the kids were very excited about that. They had so much fun looking for eggs and trying to find their baskets. Although Makenna was about to have a melt down because she couldn't find hers forever! But here are some pictures of the kids finding their baskets and eggs.
Such a fun hunt. They each got flip flops, an outfit, bubbles and peeps. Oh and tons of Easter eggs full of candy!

Brynn's basket was in her favorite cupboard that she loves to play in and empty.
Makenna finally found hers hanging up with all our coats
Brynn loves Peeps!
Kason found his basket in the bath tub

Cutest Kids Ever!
March 15th 2013
While I was working one night doing a Jr. Jazz game Weston took the kids out for a walk. It was still pretty chilly but they were so cute and were having so much fun! Look at how adorable they are.
We just love those little munchkins! They are our world.

Date Night!
March 9th 2013
Weston and I needed a date night really bad. We wanted to do something that was a little different than the usual dinner and movie so we ended up going shooting at a shooting range. He only had one gun so we went up to my parents and borrowed my moms gun for me to shoot. Since we were borrowing my parents stuff we invited them to go with us and they did. We had so much fun and we can't wait to go again! In fact we had so much fun that I had my dad find a 40 that I could buy for Weston. So now he has 2 guns! A 22 and 40. Here is my target. I'm not a very great shot at all but we had so much fun! I guess that just means I need more practice!
Then afterwards we went to Rib City for dinner. It was delicious! Such a fun date night! Thanks Amy for babysitting and thanks to my parents for letting us borrow your guns and for hanging out with us! I can't wait to go again and now I want to shoot Weston's new gun!

Itty Bitty Ball
March 4th 2013
I signed Kason up for Itty Bitty Ball through the Legacy Center and he had so much fun! The classes went for 2 weeks and everyday they worked on a new sport. They had baseball, football, soccer, volleyball and basketball. He loved it all! It was nice to get him into an activity and let him run out some energy. I never took the camera so these are just pictures from my phone. They're not the best but they are better than nothing!

This is the day on baseball. They got to practice hitting the balls during one of the drills. They would rotate around to about 6 different stations.
This was on the last day. He had so much fun and I can't wait to get him signed up for something else now!

Star of the Week
February 3rd 2013
Makenna was the star of the week in her classroom in February. She thought it would never come but it finally did and she was so excited! Here is the poster that we made. Of course I was doing it last minute and it was while I was in Vegas for the weekend so I felt very frazzled about it. But it turned out great and Makenna loved it. I even was able to go over during her class and help her tell her class all about her poster. She was so cute and had so much fun.
These were the things that we spotlighted about Makenna

St. George with the Southwicks
March 2nd 2013
For Becky's 60th birthday some of the brothers planned a surprise birthday weekend in St. George that of course, ended up not being a surprise. So it was pretty lame pretending that it was a surprise when it really wasn't but oh well. So we went down Friday night and came back Sunday. We stayed in a house with Rus, Kristy and their girls and we were right next door to Cody and his family so it was lots of fun. We went shopping, swimming and hiking. It was so much fun that we decided to go back down 2 months later! But here are some pics.
